The book reproduces postcards stemming from a project developed by Robert Machado with Justice Armstrong Juliana Bridge Natalie Canty Rian Disney Kayla Eakin Stephanie Erisman Kristen Griffiths Rose Grisbacher Arianna Jacoby Aidan Karlow McKenna Kerley Dylan Knisely Madeline Lee Makai Piisila Katelyn Price Tavi Stallings Amanda Tan Karly Tice Sydney Weaver Ava Wenz Olivia Shaughnessy Caeley Zimmerman Kennedy Cohen Aiden Donley Robert Casey. These postcards were created from a found archive of prints, then collectively mailed to strangers.

summer 2025, i bought a black valise of old photographs & papers from a couple selling cheap things from the back of a truck. my idea was to make and send postcards to/from strangers using this disorganized and unexplored collection… 25 students across two courses at Lebanon Valley College the following year took the uncurated materials and made things together from this pile of ordinary things. embodied, collective, purposeful making, and slowing down. we then partnered with the international org. Letters Against Isolation to send these cards to folks feeling alone and forgotten. we also mailed cards to strangers in our neighborhoods (addressed to “Current Resident”) and to loved ones…
